Dulce de Leche Tiramisu
Due to the large Italian influence in Argentina, much of the local cuisine is borrowed from the old country and slowly takes on a unique Argentine touch. Here, it’s seen in the rich sweetness of dulce de leche. And here’s a pro tip: for uniform individual cakes, use some of our favorite metal baking rings.

Ingredients
- 1 large cup of strong coffee, sweetened to taste
- 1 pound vanilla sponge cake
- 14 ounces dulce de leche
- 14 ounces mascarpone cheese
Directions
- In a 6 x 6 inch baking tray, place a layer of vanilla sponge cake and soak it with half of the sweetened coffee.
- Mix the mascarpone and dulce de leche thoroughly, and use half of this mixture to cover the sponge layer.
- Make another layer of sponge cake and soak with the remaining coffee.
- Finish by covering with the remaining mascarpone and dulce de leche mixture.
- Leave to chill in the fridge for at least two hours before serving.
