Ingredients for Choripan with Chimichurri
- 8 heat-and-serve sourdough dinner rolls
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 ounces thinly sliced onions
- 6 ounces sausage (andouille, Polish, Italian or bratwurst)
- 12 ounces Argentinian chimichurri sauce
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Split the rolls lengthwise and bake for 10 minutes until golden.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add onions and sauté until caramelized (5 minutes).
- Slice sausages lengthwise and into quarters. Brown them in the skillet with the onions for 3–5 minutes. Set aside and keep warm.
- Toast the roll halves face-down in the skillet for 1–2 minutes. Assemble with sausage, onions, and chimichurri.
