A TYPICAL DOVE HUNTING DAY IN ARGENTINA
At C&C Outfitters, we believe that great hunting and great meals go hand-in-hand. A typical dove hunting day in Argentina begins around 7 AM with a hearty American-style breakfast. Bacon, eggs, sausages, cereals, fresh fruits, bread, pastries, coffee, and tea will get you fueled for the day. During breakfast, we also review hunting plans so that each hunter’s individual goals and expectations can be met.
Morning Hunt
Following breakfast, you and your group are transported in comfortable, air-conditioned off-road vehicles to the hunting area. The fields are located only 20 to 30 minutes from the lodge and may include beautiful green hills where birds roost, agricultural fields such as sorghum or sunflowers, or strategic flyways. Once there, you and your bird boy will take your shooting position. Your bird boy will assist with everything you need, from carrying ammunition and keeping drinks cold, to collecting and counting your downed birds. At the end of your hunt, you may even receive a shooting report in spreadsheet format.
Traditional Argentine Asado Lunch
By noon, after hours of shooting, it’s time for a well-earned break. Guests enjoy a traditional Argentine barbecue called asado. Prepared by our renowned chef Chicho, this meal includes premium Argentine beef, chicken, sausages, salads, pasta dishes, desserts, and fruits—all accompanied by delicious Argentine wines. Meals are served outdoors under the shade of trees or in a tent, with elegant tableware that transforms the asado into an unforgettable experience. Many hunters claim the asado ranks alongside the hunting as one of the highlights of their trip.
Afternoon Dove Hunt
After lunch, you can relax in a hammock or continue with more hunting. The afternoon dove hunt often provides some of the best shooting opportunities. Once the day’s hunt concludes, guests enjoy refreshing drinks like champagne or cold beer while watching the sunset over the pampas before returning to the lodge. Our staff cleans and maintains your firearms daily, ensuring they are ready for the next hunt.
Evening at the Lodge
Back at the lodge, a refreshing shower awaits, followed by drinks before dinner. Dinner includes a variety of international dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients and paired with outstanding Argentine wines. After dinner, guests can relax with activities such as a walk around the estancia, a swim, a boat trip, or even a hot tub session with massage. With so many experiences packed into a single day, sleep comes easily as you prepare for another extraordinary day of dove hunting in Argentina.
