A Typical Dove Hunt in Argentina
The hunting day starts early, around 7:00 AM, with a hearty American-style breakfast. During breakfast, we review the hunting plan so everyone knows what to expect. Afterward, you and your group head out in one of our air-conditioned 4×4 vehicles to the hunting area.
Once you arrive, you’ll meet your bird boy and take your position for the morning shoot. The hunt usually lasts about four hours. Depending on the season, you may hunt in the green hills where doves roost, in agricultural fields like sorghum or sunflowers, or along flyways between feeding and resting areas. Each location offers a unique challenge and unforgettable views.
The Famous Argentinian Asado
Around noon, we take a break for a traditional Argentinian barbecue, known as an “asado.” Many guests say it’s one of the highlights of their trip. Our talented chef, Luis, prepares mouthwatering meals using the freshest local ingredients. As a result, you’ll enjoy an authentic taste of Argentina right in the field.
After lunch, you can relax in a hammock or chair, or jump straight back into the action. In the afternoon, the doves return in even greater numbers, making the hunt even more exciting.
Evenings After the Hunt
When the shooting ends, we celebrate with a refreshing drink, such as champagne or an ice-cold beer, while watching the sunset over the pampas. Meanwhile, our staff cleans and oils your firearms so they’re ready for the next day. This service ensures that your equipment performs perfectly on every hunt.
Back at the lodge, you can take a relaxing shower and unwind. Dinner features international dishes made with premium ingredients and paired with top-quality Argentine wines or pure mineral water from the Andes. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed, and ideal for sharing stories from the day.
Unwind and Enjoy
After dinner, join your fellow hunters for a drink at the open bar. Choose from whiskey, rum, vodka, or your favorite cocktail. If you wish, you can also book a massage in advance to finish the day perfectly. Finally, as you fall asleep, think back on the amazing memories made during your Argentina Dove Hunting adventure—and get ready to do it all over again tomorrow!
