What should i bring to my trip?
- Shoulder Pad: A good quality strap-on shooting pad such as those made by PAST may be purchased at Cabelas for less than $30.00. You will be very happy that you brought this.
- Shooting Gloves: One or two pair of quality leather shooting gloves. These not only protect your hands from the intense heat of your gun barrel(s) but also save wear and tear due to loading hundreds of cartridges into your gun(s) every day.
- Hearing Protection: Due to the large amount of shooting you will be doing, quality ear plugs and/or earphone hearing protectors are a MUST. Many hunters opt to wear both earplugs and earphones.
- Shooting Glasses: Depending upon the weather, you will want the option of clear and tinted lenses.
- Hunting Clothes: Either camo or natural colors with emphasis on green shades.
- Hunting hat or cap with a visor:
- Shell Pouch: A trap or skeet style belt pouch that holds at least 50 loose shells.
- Comfortable Footwear: Leather boots are best for most conditions.
- Light Jacket / Rain Poncho: It never hurts to be well prepared.
- Soft Gun Case: To transport firearms to and from the field.
- Gun Cleaning Kit:
- Suncreen.
- Spare Gun Parts: Firing pins, firing pin springs, extractors, bolt links, gas seals (as for Remington 1100s). As parts are not generally available in Argentina, this is very cheap insurance. If in doubt, ask your gunsmith which parts he commonly replaces on your model(s) of gun. Due to the volume of shooting you will be doing, spare parts are recommended for new as well as old guns. We are adept at repairing most common models in the field.
